Reversionary bequest
this is a gift of assets to a selected beneficiary that takes account of the rights of a named person or persons to receive the benefits of those assets for their lifetime. For example, you may wish to leave your residuary estate to the Appeal, but on condition that a family member or a friend continues to receive the income from the estate, or live in your property, until he or she dies. The assets then pass to the Appeal on that person's death.
